in a nutshell
I help animals, design impressive brands, and create modern websites.
Yes, all of that. Why? Because I’m just so fiery when it comes to uplifting people and animals. I can’t stand it when someone’s in a slump… I have to help. I see myself as a professional lifter-upper…Whether it’s in the capacity of thorough veterinary medicine, laser-focused web design and branding, or bright eco-friendly art pieces.
Creating a brand?
To dramatically improve the lives of people and animals while living a life of joy, freedom, and adventure.
IF YOU’RE STILL HERE…
More about me
I am passionate about two main things: (1) helping animals and people and (2) following my heart. It’s what led me to veterinary school, moving to New York, traveling through countries from Costa Rica to Indonesia, and creating ways to uplift others through art and design.
After almost two decades of design experience, I started The Hummingbrave — a web design and branding company dedicated to startup entrepreneurs. I love helping small businesses impress the world with show-stopping brand presence. I start by deep-diving into customer needs and wants; then I create the perfect look and feel through targeted imagery, fonts, colors, and copy. I am dedicated to giving my web design and branding clients the absolute best.
In my “spare” time, I also create detailed, tongue-in-cheek portraits of animals (Grinvites). I draw on paper made with 100% post consumer recycled pulp that saves 15 trees for every ton of paper produced. My colorful art prints are done on bamboo paper. My work has been featured in news outlets including CBS, Fox, The Star Tribune, The Wall Street Business Network, and NBC.
I currently practice veterinary medicine in New York City. I’m experienced in emergency medicine, general health and forensic/anti-cruelty medicine. I’ve been featured on television as a veterinary expert on NBC New York and New York 1. Learn more about my veterinary background here.
I’m proud to say I’m an award-winning photographer. In 2019, I won a first prize in the Audubon Photography Awards, which is the most prestigious bird photography competition in North America. I love traveling to photograph birds. The rarest bird I have photographed to date is the Marvelous Spatuletail Hummingbird in Peru.
I’m blessed with an awesome family and I love spending time with them. I am obsessed with smoked salmon, Photoshop, Audible, and Harry Potter.
